This morning it has been unveiled that J.W. Anderson is the latest designer to give Diet Coke his fashion-over. J Dubs is following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier to give DC his own spin.
Jonathan has said of the gig: “I view Diet Coke as a pop culture icon so I was excited to have the opportunity to put my stamp on ‘Regret Nothing’. You can expect something completely different with lots of cool surprises.”
His Diet Coke design will be unveiled at the end of July, but he reveals in a teaser video that he has used photography referencing his signature prints on the bottle to "make it something you want to touch." He explains that he will "use the medium of photography like a postcard." This is the first time that photographs have been used on Diet Coke bottles.
Bobby Brittain, GB marketing strategy and activation director for Coca-Cola said, “Jonathan Anderson’s regret nothing attitude helped him achieve outstanding success so we feel very excited to be working with him. This collaboration is unlike any of Diet Coke’s previous designer partnerships so we can’t wait to unveil what will truly be an inspiring fashion forward collection.”
The collection doesn't stop at Diet Coke bottles, there will also be t-shirts, a tote bag and notebook.
