Beyoncé’s Velvet Party Dress Raises Some Very Serious Logistical Questions

Diddy hosted a belated 50th birthday party for himself in Los Angeles at the weekend, and it proved to be something of a masterclass in how to dress for party season. Well, how to dress for party season if you're Beyoncé, anyway. Attending the party with Jay-Z, Bey navigated what might just be the most impressive thigh slit of all time. Running all the way up to her left hip, it might have been something of an issue for most mortals. For Beyoncé? No problem.

Designed by Kujta & Meri, the velvet gown was created especially for Beyoncé, who joined the likes of Kim Kardashian West, Kylie Jenner, Cardi B and Naomi Campbell, all of whom displayed a variety of party looks. Kim opted for a gold Vivienne Westwood dress, while her sisters went for head-to-toe sequins.

Naturally, taking style cues from Beyoncé here may result in a few raised eyebrows from the people wearing jeans at your office Christmas party. If, however, you are actually in the market for something to wear for your close friend's birthday, who also happens to be a global superstar, I'd say you should listen to Queen Bey.
