As Mulberry awaits the arrival of their new Creative Director, Johnny Coca, in July, the quintessentially British brand is still having plenty of fun. A case in point, the joyous images released today which show actress and dancer Cressida Bonas dressing up and dancing in the SS15 collection.

The images are a follow-up to the film which was released last month, showing Cressida prancing up stairs carpeted in a narrow strip of grass and pirouetting through dark corridors lined in mounds of gorgeously green turf, all the while dressed in the loveliest Mulberry pieces, of course.

The project may have been created in an old courthouse in Clerkenwell, but its inspiration came from the idea of giving traditionally beautiful English gardens like Kew and Sissinghurst a modern spin. In the images released today, Cressida lays back on a shabby-chic armchair wearing the Magnolia dress in a delicate shade of rose and poses in the middle of a patch of grass in the Delphinium-blue Bee dress.

She’s also shown carrying the diminutive Delphie and Lily bags and showcasing the cool, 70s-inspired wood block-heeled Garden sandals which basically adds up to the perfect summer day dressing accessories arsenal.

As ever, there’s a stellar creative team behind Mulberry’s latest offering. Michael Howells, the legendary fashion industry creative who is also Fashion Director of the Port Eliot festival this year- the perfect setting for the collection’s bucolic vibes- created the visual story of the project. Cressida was photographed by Robert Fairer and styled by super chic editor Jane How.

As if the Bank Holiday weren’t enough to get us excited for the imminent onset of summer, Cressida’s turn for Mulberry is the ultimate new season style inspiration.
