You know when you find a store (online or otherwise) and you can’t believe you’ve only just found it? There’s a very lucid tongue-twister for you. But luxury e-boutique The Corner is so accomplished and so sprawling in size that we can’t really believe we only just became au fait with its greatness.
Powered by the omnipotent Italian YOOX group, The Corner curates far-flung labels from all across the globe and ships them to the UK. We’re talking seriously luxe labels like Maison Martin Margiela and Proenza Schouler – not so much off-the-cuff purchases and more like major investments, sure – but they also have plenty of mid-range designer goods, from labels like knitwear ninja Mauro Grifoni, funky Belgian label Filles a Papa, our favourite leather sandal purveyor Ancient Greek and gold-plated jewellery by the indomitable Olsen twins’ line, Elizabeth and James.
The real clincher for us, though, is that they currently have a deal whereby you get a free T-shirt by Haitian/Italian designer Stella Jean, with every new AW14 purchase. Given that her T-shirts retail at around £90, that’s enough to make us chuck the summer holiday funds out the window and set up shop in this corner (lol) of the internet.
With sales of all the SS14 loot about to start in force though, we suggest you hot foot it to The Corner right now. You’ll be able to afford a lot more than usual. Mainly because that’s how, er, sales work. Here’s what we want. Hint, hint...
