Givenchy has finally announced the news we’ve all been waiting for.
Since Kardashian favourite Riccardo Tisci announced his departure from the LVMH couture house back in January, rumours of potential successors have circulated.
But just over an hour ago, Givenchy put an end to speculation as the brand announced Clare Waight Keller as the new artistic director via Instagram.
The designer announced her departure from Chloé back in January after a five-year stint at the French house.
Givenchy chief executive officer Philippe Fortunato told WWD: "She has this great ability to break the rules and innovate without making a revolution. Her very focused approach will help the brand in building the ongoing momentum we have - and taking it to the next level.”
Waight Keller will present her debut collection for Givenchy in Paris this October for spring/summer '18.
Predecessor Riccardo Tischi is reportedly in talks with Versace though nothing has been confirmed.
