Did you hear the klaxon? The festive party season has officially kicked off. During the warmer months when the concept of ‘dressing-up’ means swapping shorts for a cotton shift, the idea of breaking out the sequins for a Christmas party seems distant and glamorous. But, with the invitations now mounting for office events, family get-togethers and Christmas cocktails, it can start to feel less delightful and more daunting.
Considering what to wear is a geographical challenge. You have to consider getting from point A to B without catching your death while knowing that once you arrive the heating will be on high, a fire may well be burning and more likely than not a hot toddy or a bucket of mulled wine will be forced into your hands. Makes me feel feverish just thinking about it. That said, we at The Debrief need little encouragement to wear our going out-out clothes. While the trend for athleisure and jeans and a nice top may show no signs of waning sometimes nothing can beat the frill of a new dress. Glittery or minimalist, take your pick for this season our favourite designers have something for everyone.
