It's been a big year for Chiara Ferragni, the Italian style maven responsible for creating one of the world's most successful blogs, The Blonde Salad. Not only did she celebrate her 30th birthday, but she also got engaged to longtime beau Fedez, an Italian singer-songwriter, and has now topped off her incredible year with the news that she is expecting her first child.
The influencer announced the news on Instagram (natch), sharing a photograph of herself and her fiance in matching bathrobes with ear-to-ear smiles, captioning it: 'Hey guys... We're gonna be parents soon 👶🏼 I'm 5 months pregnant now and we can't wait to meet baby Raviolo 👪 Life is beautiful.' The post has already racked up 1 million likes - unsurprising considering she has an impressive 10.7 million followers on Instagram alone. She also shared a sweet video of her beau kissing and singing to her bump.
Ferragni started her blog, The Blonde Salad, in 2009, swiftly becoming one of the most well-known influencers and Insta-stars in the industry. This year she was unveiled as Forbes number 1 'Top Influencer' for her website, curated Instagram account, sponsorships deals and clothing line (plus collaborations).
We can't wait to see 1. how Ferragni styles her pregnancy bump and 2. what her child will be wearing. Not that she is guaranteed to share pictures of her newborn, of course. Fellow Instagram sensation Pernille Teisbaek gave birth to her son in March, and since then we've only been given a few glimpses of his sweet outfits on her Instagram account.
