If like me, you spend your days scrolling through the ASOS 'New In' page, you'll have noticed that SS17 goodies have been dropping thick and fast over the past few weeks. And with 90% of my current wardrobe cleared out, packed up and ready to hit the car boot sales next month, I took it upon myself (and my 30G's) to try on all the hottest new season pieces.
The Pinny Dress
Milk It Vintage, Military Jacket With Frills, £45; Reclaimed Vintage, Midi Dress In Check With Shirring, £36
Suffering from gingham fatigue? (Although I'm pretty sure that's not possible.) Try plaid as a refreshing alternative. This Reclaimed Vintage pinafore dress is the ultimate chuck-on-and-go item. Plus, it will look cute-as-a-button layered over a simple white tee. Without a doubt, the best part is it's shirred bodice, which is stretchy enough to wrap around even the roundest of melons.
Prints on Prints
ASOS, Red Gingham Deconstructed Midi Skirt, £32; ASOS, T-Shirt Boxy Fit And Cut About Stripe, £18
On the other hand, if you're knee-deep in gingham and don't plan on kicking the habit anytime soon, this skirt is calling your name. For spring, pair it with a boxy Breton top (girls with big boobs can wear stripes too you know) and your freshest white creps. That is until summer finally rolls around, and you can swap'em out for a cute cropped Bardot and your trusty sliders. Can't. Bloody. Wait.
The Skater Jean
ASOS Cropped Skater Jeans In Tabacoo, £35; ASOS Crop Top In Sequin Stripe, £45
The OTT Sleeve
ASOS, Mustard Check Cotton Shirt with Extreme Tie Sleeves, £30; ASOS, Cowl Neck Slip Dress, £20
Yup, yet another checked item to add to your (probably already extensive) SS17 collection. Except for this time, it features additional (and I'll admit slightly impractical) oversized sleeve bows. Wear it under a statement lemon slip or pair it with your new skater jeans…Oh and despite the fact it's been cut from a menswear shirt pattern, it couldn't be more flattering on the breasteses.
Top tip: avoid eating soup and doing the washing up at all costs.
The 2017 Mini
Lets be honest, this smock dress is short AF (so I think I'll wait until April before I crack it out in public) but, my fellow busty babes, don't let the micro length and high neck put you off. The oversized shape is surprisingly flattering, and with the added fluted sleeves and cute micro florals, this is the easiest win for when the sun starts shining. Chop chop summer!
