It’s surely no surprise that Cara, Model Muse of 2014, has made it on to Forbes.com’s 21 Highest Paid Models List. Barely a page – let alone an entire magazine – goes by without that baby-face, heavy of brow, getting a mention.
Anything after $1million pretty much blurs into magical money to us, but if you’re interested – she earned $3.5million (or £2.1million) in 2014. More interestingly, she was ‘beaten’ by model BFFs Jourdan Dunn (seriously, they both have it tattooed on their hips) and Karlie Kloss, who earned $4million each.

To put the whole kabosh into perspective, though, Gisele earned $48million in 2014. Yes, you read that right. The highest earning supermodel for the eighth year in a row is well on her way to becoming the world’s first supermodel billionaire.
She revealed earlier this year that she's a bit pissed offabout all this being-the-richest-model ever nonsense. ‘These people who write [the list] do not have my account number! I earn well, but it’s not all this talking,’ she says. ‘I have been audited in the US because of the Forbes list. Whether or not I’m in this ranking, I do not care.’ We won’t point out that if she wasn’t in the ranking then that would mean that she might not have all that much moolah, but y’know…
In joint second place are Dutch Victoria’s Secret supermodel Doutzen Kroes and Brazilian Victoria’s Secret supermodel – notice a theme, here? Lingerie pays – Adriana Lima ($8million each) and in joint third comes Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr, Liu Wen and newbie, Kate Upton ($7million.)
You can read the rest of the list here – if you can’t name a single supermodel aside from Naomi Campbell (who oddly did not make the list – and neither, surprisingly, did Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), then it may not be a riveting read, but if you can, it is – and rest assured that after the year she’s had, Cara’s salary will likely treble next year. That said, it all depends on how many commercial campaigns she signs. Culturally, Kate Moss is still the world’s biggest supermodel, but she only earned the same as Miranda Kerr because that spiritual Aussie snags all sorts of high street campaigns, such as Mango and H&M. Which Kate, quite frankly, doesn’t have time to bother with when there are things like Glastonbury and Ibiza to contend with.
