If I could stay in a bathrobe all winter long, I would. A nice, plush bathrobe - the kind one will always find hanging on the bathroom door of a deluxe hotel...
Now, I am no klepto, but all this 5-star room hopping during fashion month is testing my morals. As I gaze down at the spoils accumulated between NY, Milan and Paris, it occurs to me the line has to be drawn somewhere. Miniature shampoo bottles, shaving kits, scented soaps in every shape and form, shower caps, sewing equipment (you know, in case you loose a button in between shows), shoe shine sponges (scored three of them), toothpicks (jackpot!)... the list goes on.
Then again, travel-sized toiletries are fair game. That's what they are there for, right? It's either ramming all the hotel freebies into your (overweight) suitcase, or using the lot during your stay - you know - because dumping 40mL of fig and almond conditioner on your scalp has always been part of your daily routine.
We've all been there. As I said, I am no klepto. I merely followed the Ross Geller can-I-can't-I method ('Salt shaker, no no no! But the saaalt...'). The line has thus be drawn: those enviable bathrobes shall stay put. Instead, capital F-fashion got the last word and suggested I opt instead for the terribly-on-trend outdoor version.

This beautiful grey style works just as easily thrown over your every-day denim, as cinched with a statement belt to make more of a chic impact after-hours. Just add a statement bag (loving all 70s iconic accents, like the golden hardware on this piece at the moment) and you’re good to go. And for those day’s when life is giving you an extra hard time, tie tight and pretend you have not left home.
