So you've seen the pictures of Caitlyn Jenner in Vanity Fair, but what was she wearing? Caitlyn wore looks by Badgley Mischka, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, and Herve Leger for her Annie Leibovitz moment.

Vanity Fair stylist Jessica Diehl said of working with Caitlyn Jenner on the top-secret reveal shoot: "We couldn’t really prepare the way we normally prepare. Normally we go to, I don’t know, Valentino or Armani, and say we are shooting a cover and ask if they can give us some clothes [to borrow]. For this, I had to go into stores incognito, so to speak—not like anyone would know what I looked like anyway—and buy stuff. That was actually what was fun. It was like Vanity Fair: Off the Rack."

So what is part of this 'off the rack' wardrobe? Caitlyn wears a black off-the-shoulder gown by Zac Posen from the 'core classic' collection. This is currently available on Bergdorf Goodman for almost $7,000,000. Zac Posen said to US Glamour of Caitlyn's gown: "I'm very proud to be included in the roster of chosen designers for such a historic moment captured by the iconic Annie Leibovitz. I think the most important message that comes from this is to be who you are and feel beautiful in your skin."

In the image where Caitlyn is coming out of a Porsche in red, she is wearing a Donna Karan jersey dress with mesh cut-outs which is nowsold out. Can you say Caitlyn effect? In another image Caitlyn wears an Agent Provocateur black lace Willow corset which is still available at £595.

The ivory satin corset she wears on the cover meanwhile was by West Hollywood shop Trashy Lingerie. The owner Mitch Shrier said to* Hollywood Life*: “The stylist came in and wanted something very sleek. She got direction from her (Caitlyn Jenner). She didn’t want anything frou frou. She wanted something to make her look sleek and something that pulled her waist in. The stylist ordered three of them. They were all custom-made. The Edy Corset was originally created twenty five years ago for Edie Sedgwick. That’s why I named it it the Edy Corset.”

As for working with Caitlyn on her look, Vanity Fair's stylist said: "Yes, I went to go meet her before just to talk through what she wanted to do. Just because the Vanity Fair thing—it's a very specific look. It is not your casual-jeans Tuesday. But we also just wanted to talk about her style in life. Coming from a very fashion-forward family, we sort of thought that the nicest thing to do was to focus on style over fashion. Nothing too bling or too shiny. Kind of keeping it more in the style arena rather than hardcore fashion arena . . ."
