Mums love Marks and Spencer, so how come the rest of us haven't caught on? For some reason buying anything more than the odd pair of pants and your workday lunch from M&S isn’t part of the Millennial life package. However, it should be as they high street store does a mean line in cashmere and well-made separates. Sure, I wouldn’t buy my wedding dress there, but if I’m staying at my parents, I’m definitely going to steal my mum’s new Marks shirt. Fact. So, next time you go home for the weekend and find yourself pushing a cart through the store’s chilled aisle, nudge your mother to take you upstairs and show you where she brought those well-tailored cropped trousers. Then, as if, by total coincidence, you’ll see this La La Land yellow, sweeping gown making at eyes at you. And, voila, mum’s M&S habit and unadulterated love for you will kick in and that frock will make its way into your trolley, just like that. Thank me later.
