For leading members of the Beyhive, news that they could soon be wearing Beyoncé-designed trainers will be very welcome indeed. As part of a new partnership with Adidas, the singer will be designing clothes and footwear for the brand, as well as re-launching her own label, Ivy Park. Last year, Beyoncé cut ties with Topshop owner Philip Green as he faced accusations of harassment and bullying. She bought his 50% share in Ivy Park, which launched back in 2016, meaning that she now has sole ownership of her company.

In a statement, Adidas said: 'This partnership respects Beyoncé's ownership of her company which continues her journey as one of the first black women to be the sole owner of an athleisure brand.'

Beyoncé herself said: 'This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader."

While there is yet to be any indication of a launch date or indeed any idea of what a Beyoncé collection for Adidas will look like, there's no doubt that fans all over the world will be waiting with baited breath.
