The mid-season sales have arrived on the high street. Woop! As it's possibly the only sale of the year where you can actually wear what's on offer (hotpants in September, anyone?), right now is the best time to get shopping.

Denim skirts completely reigned over denim shorts this season. At only £22, you might want to snap this one up quickly.

This striped dress by Rachel Antonoff x & Other Stories is super flattering, and probably the most versatile piece you'll buy this summer. Wear with heels to your mate's wedding, or with low-top Converse to the park.
Wooden Wedges, £35, Topshop
As far as summer heels go, these chunky 70's wedges are pretty much perfect. Despite appearances, they are comfortable (we've tried them) and you don't even need to paint your toenails to wear them.
Denim Top, £12.99, Zara
This halterneck swing top will take your right though the summer. Ideal for drinking in beer gardens, going for walks, heading to the beach... you'll have no excuse to hibernate indoors watching Netflix.
Flounced Skirt, £22, & Other Stories
Having to deal with a sweaty bum while you're at your desk is not glam. Keep cool in this dreamy & Other Stories skirt, only £22.
Wide Jacket, £50, H&M
It is guaranteed to rain this summer, so make sure you're prepared for the inevitable downpours with this premium H&M jacket.
Slogan T-Shirt, £9.99, Mango
There was a time when slogan tees were notoriously lame, but this season we've seen some absolute gems, like this Seventies inspired mustard t-shirt from Mango. Pair with flares.
