Balenciaga Trolls The Internet With Another Sell-Out Bag

And the fashion world falls for it...

Remember when Balenciaga tried to get us to buy an Ikea-inspired tote?

Well, the designer label is trolling us once more, as the French fashion house recently launched an accessory which resembles your average shopping bag.

The only difference is, instead of being made from paper, it's hand-crafted from calfskin and leather. Oh, and it'll set you back an eye-watering £850.

But it seems that's a reasonable price to pay for irony, as the accessory soon sold out online.

And it's all down to the brand's creative director, Demna Gvasalia. Ever since the designer took control of the fashion house in 2015, Balenciaga has gone from strength to strength (and undoubtedly kept us amused along the way).

After all, we're talking about the man who took sartorial inspiration from delivery service, DHL and created the most talked about t-shirt in the industry...

And in a time of tough political uncertainty, the fashion world has fallen head over heels for the brand's ability to make fun of itself.

So if you fancy investing in the 'It' accessory, keep refreshing the page, as the bag is reportedly available unil 5 August 2017.

We wonder if we'll be given a shopping bag to carry the, well, shopping bag home...
