Hands up if you’re excited about the new Star Wars film, The Last Jedi? We’re certain someone at ASOS HQ is frantically waving their arms right now bellowing ‘yes’ in answer. For the shopping mecca has collaborated with Disney and Lucas Film to produce a collection of seven pieces inspired by the key themes of the galactic trilogy.
Without giving away any major plot spoilers the collection raises R2-D2 up to fashion icon status. Suddenly we’re seeing the Storm Troppers and the Millennium Falcon in a chic new light.
This isn’t the first time we’ve geeked out on Star Wars’ style credentials. Two years ago Rodarte closed their autumn/winter 2014 show with a five full-length gowns printed with Luke Skywalker, Yoda, C-3PO and the Death Star. Vogue called them ‘silly’ and ‘Instagram bait’.
