This season we've been forced to bid farewell to Phoebe Philo's era as creative director of Céline. While she'll be dearly missed, we can't say we're not thankful that the same school of effortless, sophisticated fashion is being championed by one of the high street's newest names: Arket. Though part of the H&M family, it stands with its own very appealing identity. The utilitarian versatility of its covetable styles has got us hooked. Not only do they look tangibly more expensive than they are (especially the dark denim) but they, like Céline's pieces, have longevity sewn into their very fabric. These pieces are trans-seasonal and rise above trends so you can wear them now or in three years time and still look slick. Now, tell me who wouldn't want that?
We're especially keen on that boilersuit, which touches base with SS18's trends without giving in to the gimmick. And, the same can be said for that floral blazer, which has something of the Dries Van Noten about it. Needless to say, that's a very, very good thing. You'll be seeing us at checkout.
