Ahead of the main brand’s much-anticipated return to the show schedule at London Fashion Week next Sunday, Alexander McQueen’s diffusion line McQ has just revealed its A/W’16 collection through a digital presentation.
Taking place across the brand’s social channels and on the digital flagship, McQ.com, the presentation brought together images shot by Caroline Sodergren, character studies by Jack Davison, short films by Sharna Osborne and lookbook shots by Brianna Capozzi.
The new collection takes its inspiration from the ‘70s and ‘80s dance clubs of Shinjuku in Tokyo, and plays upon the relationship between the sweet and the sadistic. Key pieces range from the traditional biker jacket to an oversized fur coat and floral prints inspired by Japanese kimonos.
