After the success of her debut collaboration with Marks & Spencer, style icon Alexa Chung has teamed up with the high street institution for a second Archive By Alexa.
'Archive by Alexa’ consists of a curated edit of pieces from the brand’s extensive back catalogue, brought back to life for 2016 thanks to modern fabrications, an updated colour palette and, of course, Alexa’s keen eye for style. The 27-piece Winter collection will be available to buy from November 1 this year, with every piece named after streets in Leeds where Marks & Spencer was established back in 1884.
'For this second collection I wanted to focus on a more luxe evening wear vibe to lead us into the winter party season,' Alexa explained. '[I] was thrilled to once again discover an abundance of inspiration within the Marks & Spencer archive.'
When the first installment of Alexa's much-anticipated Archive collection arrived in stores in April this year, you couldn't move for pie-crust blouses in pastel shades and that polka-dotted mini-dress.
The ‘Archive’ collection isn’t Ms. Chung’s first foray into the world of fashion design. Her denim collaboration with AG Jeans was one of last year’s hottest fashion launches, while her 2010 collection for J. Crew’s sister brand Madewell was another immediate success.
The 32-year-old fashion influencer will also be launching her own fashion brand ALEXACHUNG in 2017, with Edwin Bodson, former head of atelier at Haider Ackermann, on board as managing director.
The collection will be available in selected stores and online - just make sure you're quick, as once again, we predict a sellout...
