Of all the spring trends Alexa Chung should choose to wear to sit front row at J.W.Anderson’s London Fashion Week show, this has got to be our favourite. Delicate, decorative and darn right delectable, the hair slide is fast becoming what the statement earring was to 2017: a head-turner.

It first appeared at Simone Rocha as a bundle of pearl and crystal embellishment, then Laura Jackson, Pandora Sykes and Camille Charrière started wearing them. And, now Alexa’s in on the act.

With her hair slicked down into a side parting, Chung secured her waves at the side of her head with a double dose of this magpie-friendly ornament. Hers is from Simone Rocha and is available to buy now.

Chung’s jazzy adornment matched the mood of J.W.Anderson’s Autumn Winter 2018 collection. Rarely one for print, the Scottish designer introduced paisley, ombre and stripes. Building on the success of the label’s cult Pierce bag, he debuted a new boxy shape today, one with rope stitching and a top handle. It played out against looks that toyed with signatures of the label, like high neck’s, ruffles and draping.
