We all wanted a piece from the Alexa Chung for AG collection last year. And now the 32-year old model, TV presenter and style influencer is the new face of AG, to front its AW16 campaign.
After a standout two season collaboration with the US label, Alexa says she is ‘thrilled to be asked back to model the AG Fall’16 campaign. I guess they missed me as much as I missed them.’
While she’s been giving us some mega Insta envy in her Glasto gear over the weekend (multi-coloured knit dress…LOVE), the new AG collection is true Alexa style. Think ‘70s neckerchiefs, denim jumpsuits, monochrome blouses and retro jean jackets.
‘After an incredibly successful collaboration we are very excited to be working with Alexa again. At the risk of sounding cliché, in the fashion industry there’s really no one quite like her,’ Johnathan Crocker, AG’s VP of Global Communications adds.‘There’s this unique quality with Alexa where she balances being both relatable and accessible, while still creating a strong sense of aspiration.’
The campaign was shot at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn – a nod to her New York home, where she’s lived since moving there from London in 2009.
‘I have chosen to live in Williamsburg, a.k.a. hipsterville, across the East River from Manhattan,’ Alexa has mentioned before. ‘It's awash with cool kids in lumberjack shirts and superfluous, geeky glasses.’
FYI Alexa, you are the queen of the cool kids.
The new AG collection will be available in July at Harrods and Selfridges
