Until now, Prada's collaborative collections with Adidas have focussed entirely on lending a designer edge to the sportswear brand's most famous trainers. Back in 2019, this partnership reimagined Adidas' Superstar trainers and the Luna Rossa 21 sneakers have had similar treatment since then. Now, the third instalment is coming – and it includes ready-to-wear.
Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon continues to blend the former's innovative sportswear with the latter's Italian craftsmanship, this time with an increased focus on sustainability. Each piece is made in Italy from Prada's Re-Nylon fabric, which is infinitely recyclable; it's created from recycled plastic waste collection from oceans and can be purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss of quality.
Sneakerheads will go nuts for the new trainers, which are a spin on Adidas' Originals Forum shoes, now complete with their own detachable Prada pouch on the side. The clothing, meanwhile, includes the adidas for Prada Re-Nylon Track Coat, a full tracksuit, a jumper, hooded jacket and bucket hat, all bearing the Prada logo and Adidas stripes.
There are also a number of styles of bags launching, including a travel bag, backpack and shopper. Given that Rihanna was a fan of the last drop, having been spotted with a bag last April, it stands to reason that these will not hang around for very long.
