Adele's stage looks have been nothing short of stupendous. Appearing as part of her residency in Las Vegas - for a series of weekly concerts called Weekends with Adele - the artist has stuck to a black-tie dress code with a stellar line-up of LBDs (that's long black dresses). So far, she's worn Schiaparelli, Givenchy, Carolina Herrera and Valentino. She's also worn a very special gown by Harris Reed, who's collaborated with the singer before, not under the designer's own brand but Nina Ricci's.
'I give you the first of our custom ensembles from the house of @ninaricci, the first custom VIP look for the brand in 5 years,' posted Reed, who was announced as the brand's new creative director in September 2022. 'Worn by the eternally inspiring @adele, the first individual to be dressed in my new vision for the brand in a small nod of what’s to come. I am honoured to dress somebody that completely embodies, magnifies and shines with true femininity.'
With gigantic puffed sleeves - sheer with polka dots that are a signature at Nina Ricci - and a sculpted, off-the-shoulder neckline, it wasn't just another black dress but, instead, the definition of chic.
For last weekend's concert, her seventh in Las Vegas, Adele chose yet another LBD, this time from Balmain. In terms of style signatures, it couldn't have been more appropriate to ring in 2023. While January isn't exactly renowned as a party month, if you've got a friend's birthday or even a wedding, you might want to follow Adele. Grab some statement earrings - the singer favours diamond hoops from Yessayan, David Webb and Lorraine Schwartz - and you're good to go drink wine.
