How To Actually Pull Off That Ear Cuff Trend That Everyone Seems To Be Doing

2014 was all about statement ear cuffs, but in 2015 we're opting for smaller, stackable ones.

Ear cuffs were massive for 2014. We're not talking about petite, slivers of metal, delicately adorning ears. No. These were great hefting crystal devices dripping from ears, or about five layers of chains hanging down to your jaw. Granted they looked awesome but let's be honest, they weren't really day-wear suitable and took a good helping of guts to pull off.

That's why we're championing 2015 as the year of the slightly more understated ear cuff. These are slightly smaller and can be mix and matched and stacked to suit the look you're going for. What's more, cuffs are perfect when you haven't quite got the balls to get that cartilage piercing you've been thinking about for the last three years. We say go ahead and fake it, because faux piercings have never looked cooler. Here's our favourite looks.

The New Way To Wear Pearls

Forget about how your Great Aunt’s fashion sense has meant you pretty much can’t wear pearls anymore. These gold and pearl cuffs are the coolest way to reintroduce them into your wardrobe.

The Stand Out One3 of 16

The Stand Out One

Rather than hugging your outer ear, this rose gold one is super unique with it’s straight edges and rests inside your conch (the big dip in your ear). Layer it with a couple of fake hoops at the top too, for a full-on rock vibe.

Freestyle It

There’s kind of no rhyme or reason for this one. We just went for whichever looked good. Silver and turquoise geometric print and gold and pearl; sounds weird, right? But somehow it works.

The Work Appropriate One11 of 16

The Work Appropriate One

For starters, this is so cheap there's basically no excuse not to add this to your jewellery wardrobe. Secondly, the fine metal design and double jewels are understated enough to mean that you can get away with wearing this at work and show it off to your work mates.
