7 Ways To Accessorise Your Neck This Pay Day Weekend

Welcome to the first weekend of July. Doesn’t feel like it though, does it? A few of us have sun, some of us have rain, and the majority of us are walking around with tanning lotion in one hand and an umbrella in the other, because the weather is having a really annoying, drawn out, uncooperative moment.

Regardless of whether you’re in flip flops or wellies though, we're prety sure that necks are a thing right now. Well, you know, sartorially speaking. Gone(ish) are the blustery days of the chunky turtle neck, we’ve got our necks out, and we’re not putting them away (for a couple of months).

Here’s the Instagram inspo you didn’t know you needed to go and splurge on that must-have accessory now we’ve all finally been paid.

1. Compare and contrast

A chunky choker accompanied by a thin delicate necklace is always a winner. And you can’t go wrong with a striped T.

2. Never fully dressed

When you’ve got a minimal low cut top, a simple statement choker like this one really catches your attention. Extra points for co-ordinating with your bra.

3. Girl scout no more

Take one silk neckerchief. Tie in lose knot around neck. Throw on off the shoulder dress. Look impeccably put together and really REALLY cool.

4. Daintily does it

If you don’t want to make too much of a statement but still want to hop on the ‘look at my well accessorized neck’ train, this is the way to go. You could even just use a thin piece of ribbon and tie a little bow. V cute.

5. Stack ‘em high

Found yourself some chokers but can’t decide between them? No problem. Wear them all! (Note: probably works best with a few narrow ones)

6. Take a bow

Why should the front of your neck get all of the attention? Take it too the back, put your hair up and tie a thin scarf with a big old bow for an instant outfit upgrade.

7. Old trusty faithful

Repurpose that bandana you bought to try and look like Hannah Spearritt from S Club 7 and pop it around your neck instead of your head. Try it.
