7 Stylish Gangs From The Warriors That Nailed AW15

If there’s one thing this lot have in common, it’s commitment to a look. 1979 cult film The Warriors sees phenomenally dressed street gangs face off across New York City – and there’s not a hoverboard in sight. There are some exceptionally sassy looks, though, that are spot on for AW15…

1. The Warriors

Alexander McQueen might not have gone full jerkin, but that burgundy leather plunge-neck dress is pretty darn close. I feel a bit bad for that one guy who got fobbed off with a t-shirt and hat here.

2. The Hi-Hats

I like to think that she’s wearing braces under that Emporio Armani coat.

3. The Boppers

The cocktail party equivalent of gang colours – and most likely the inspiration for this J. Mendel dress, and my favourite quality street.

4. The Baseball Furies

These guys fucking terrified me. The painted faces are an especially creepy touch, I think. The baseball stripes are totally Moschino though.

5. The Punks

Marques’Almeida does distressed denim like no one else, except maybe these guys, who get extra points for their colourful knitwear – very seasonal.

6. The Electric Eliminators

You can’t go wrong with a super shiny bomber jacket, guys. Talk about a statement piece, amirite? Props to Tommy Hilfiger.

7. The Rogues

Marc by Marc Jacobs somehow made berets look badass here, a fitting homage to these troublemakers.
