There was a lot of hype surrounding the Tommy X Gigi Hadid collection. While, I hand-on-heart love the range, I'll admit it's had a lot of exposure. Some, might go as far as saying too much. However, not even that has stopped me yearning for it. But, the question remains, can I wear it in an original way? Can I pull it off even though I look nothing like Gigi? So, I did the only thing I could think of: I tried it on.
Channelling the 90s
I, like most of the population, thought that belly buttons were sooo 20 years ago. That was until Gigi said they were back. A flash of skin is the motif that features heavily in this collection. As we don't live in California, and the weather in London is barely ever warm enough for this level of exposure, I paired my exposed stomach with a high neck top and wide flares.
Be A Team Player
Trackies? Check. Team vest? Check. Converse? Check. Taking a leaf out of the sports day playbook feels almost too comfy to be true. But the satin-look trousers and SS17 orange ensures it is more 2017 than 1970s Olympics.
Back To School
How to make a polo dress look like it doesn’t belong at a school? Team it with high-shine boots, obvs. The mismatched stripes add some adult chic to a classic preppy Tommy design, but the boots take it from teacher’s pet to badass.
Supermodelling Like Gigi

Upon seeing this skirt I felt two things: lust and worry. It’s patchwork design, muted Tommy colours, maxi length, all got me very very excited for summer. Until I remembered we live in England, and our July evenings don’t quite match Cali's weather. The solution: throw on this heavy knit for a much-needed layer of grunge (and warmth).
