We’ve scrolled our way through fashion month so you don’t have to. Debrief partnership with Tu.
From New York and London to Paris and Milan, fashion month is officially OVER. Andato, fini… erm, yeah, you get the drift.
Anyway, if there’s one thing we’re going to miss even more than gawping at the runway (and who’s on the front row), it’s the steady flow of street style snaps. The shows have already got us thinking about next season, but when it comes to what to wear right now, the pavement – and your Insta feed – has got all the inspo you need.
No time to scroll? No problem. We’ve teamed up with Tu and scouted out 6 of the best AW outfit updates, matching them with the pieces you need to nail the look.
The statement coat
Behold! The style powers of the statement coat. Throw on over jeans and a tee and watch the outfit magic happen. Tweed is the way to go this season, as seen on the streets at PFW (and pretty much everywhere else).
Coat, £45
The summer-dress-saver boot
Ready to retire your summer dresses? Put down that charity shop bag. It’s time to get some boots – knee high boots to be specific. A sassy brown suede pair will extend the life of light layers now, and work with (sob) tights later.
Boots, £30
The outfit-making mini
Blame fashion girl fave Vetements, but red leather is totally having a moment. There’s loads of jackets and accessories around, but we’ll be wearing ours in mini skirt form. Just tuck in a simple shirt for an instant OOTD. Sunnies optional.
Skirt, £18
The essential pleated midi
A bit too cold to get your legs out? All hail the pleated midi. Still a total fashion staple season after season, a black one will give you minimum cost-per-wear not to mention maximum style points. Hello, new uniform.
Skirt, £18
The blogger fave box bag
New season = new bag (our kind of maths, there). Box bags have been popping up on the blogs for a while now, and with new shades and styles hitting the high street there’s never been a better time to join the club. Our pick? Burgundy, as spotted at LFW.
Bag, £16
