If you hadn't noticed, wearing a dress that looks like a nightie – technical name 'slip dress' FYI – is totally a thing right now. They're all over the shops like these Mango navy/red and floral slip dresses which are a bargainous £12.99 right now (you're welcome) and this dreamy polkadot version from Topshop.
Here's how to style yours so you don't look like you just rolled out of bed.
1. Leanne Woodfull
Dress it down by layering it with a casual t-shirt and tights; no one will ever know that it moonlights as your nightie.
2. Millie Mackintosh
Stop the dress from looking too girly-girl by whacking on a pair of battered leather boots, à la Millie. Chuck on a chocker for an extra 90s vibe.
3. Alexa Chung
Do an Alexa and go for clashing colours but be sure to keep everything else super simple lest you risk looking like Pat Butcher knock-off.
4. Patricia Manfield
Right, this look obviously isn't for the faint-hearted and doesn't quite come under the 'everyday wear' category. Instead, pick a sheer lacy version and use it as a holiday beach cover up.
5. Sofie Valkiers
Go all out and opt for a red version: choosing a longer length will stop it from being too hotel-nightie.
