Easter weekend calls for one thing: a trip home to see the folks. And at some point you will be required to shower, change out of your pjs and pull together an ensemble for a trip to the local with your home friends on this bank holiday weekend. You don't want to look like you left your fashion sense in London, but also, no-one wants to be that dick on the suitcase with a giant suitcase, so we're looking for simple outfits that will fit in your overnight bag.

We scoured Instagram for some inspiration on outfits you can recreate this weekend when you're full of too much red wine and mini eggs.

1) ASOS Alice

Breton long sleeved t-shirt with blue jeans and a western inspired belt, topped off with your winter wool coat. Sounds like a winner to us. Very simple, but the belt buckle keeps it up to date. And when will striped tops ever go out of fashion? (We hope never otherwise we will have to ditch half of our wardrobe.)

2) Shulikesclothes

Swap your pjs for a statement mini skirt and long sleeved black top or jumper. Add tights and chunky heeled boots, you're good to go. Glam enough for a night out without going OTT.

3) Peexo

Go from family Sunday Lunch to evening in this cute denim pinafore. Layering is key, and Peexo does it perfectly by adding a stone coloured turtleneck jumper. Don't want to bare all? Add thick wooly tights and ankle boots.

4) Shotfromthestreet

Nude ballet pumps, cropped black jeans and a bomber jacket make for an effortless get up. Easy peasy and you won't get cold. Well your ankles might but who cares about them. And with the tweed you'll feel right at home in the countryside. If you're from the countryside. If not you'll just really appreciate the cute, warm bomber jacket.

5) Halcyon Velvet

Okay, so the hat may be a bit of a pain to pack in your overnight bag, but you can definitely pull inspiration from the rest of this outfit. The light colours in this outfit are perfect for Spring and high-waisted jeans hide a multitude of over-indulgences.
