I was once like you, a doubter of kitten heels. I believed that they were the reserve of Theresa May, of grandmothers and those that couldn’t hack a high heel. Typically coming it at just under 2 inches in height they never kick it like a stiletto or have the balletic elegance of a flat. But, this season, courtesy of Balenciaga and Miu Miu, fashion is reconsidering awkward, odd shapes and colours. Things that were once obtuse suddenly seem interesting, like the kitten heel. Plus, they are the perfect height for showing off those Vetements-lite frayed edge jeans everyone is wearing. And, they are so comfortable you won’t even notice you’ve spent a day stomping around town in them. I get it, they are polarising, but if you want a shoe that you can wear day-in-day-out without getting blisters and that’s smarter than a sneaker then open your mind to these…
