I’ve always hated my feet. Although there’s nothing technically wrong with them. I have five toes on each one, they aren’t hairy and I always have a decent pedicure. But there’s undeniably something a bit gross about feet in general, and if you feel the slightest bit self-concious, summer isn’t a great time.

Luckily, we’ve found you 13 pairs of excellent shoes that will make you feel better about your hooves.

Espadrilles, Topshop, £55

Toe-concealing, tan-flattering, these delightful mossy espadrilles will disguise any grossness and look ace all summer long. Top marks.

Cutout Nike Thea, Office, £96.99

There’s a lot to be said for a box-fresh sneaker in summertime. These Air Max Theas with cutout detail guarantee to keep the ventilation flowing, as well as looking pretty damn cool.

Pom-Pom Heels, ASOS, £35

The most fuzzy and dainty footwear we could find, these ASOS low heels are insanely cute. Excellent for adding a bit of much-needed spritz to your sad looking hooves.

Suede Flats, Office, £52

For when you need something on the lighter side, these flats serve up plenty of coverage with just a peep of toe. Made for a holiday.

Slingback Mules, Whistles, £74

Dressing smartly can be hard in summer, when all you want to do is ensure as much air as possible reaches your skin. These easy, breezy Whistles mules will add the smartness to your summer ensemble.

Sandals, & Other Stories, £45

I know what you’re thinking... toes toes toes. FEAR NOT. Your toes are absolutely fine. And will look even finer in these chunky sandals, especially with an all-black pedi and ankle-swinging denim.

Suede Platforms, Zara, £69.99

Remember those Stella platforms that starred in every street style shot on Pinterest? Well here’s your high street alternative. The chunky platform will daintify your ankles no end.

Sandals, Topshop, £39

The lace-up sandal trend is literally everywhere. These are the purse-friendly answer to the Altuzarra lace-ups that have been sitting on your wishlist for three months.

Leather Sandals, H&M, £29.99

Surprisingly flattering, the cross-over style is a great option if you’re not a fan of your toes. This H&M pair is so well-made, they’re a definite for next summer too.

Lace-Up Heels, ASOS, £35

For a more statement look, these sassy heels will command attention, in a really good way. Pair with your old denim skirt and a crisp white shirt, for a bit of #mondaymotivation.

Birkenstocks, Urban Outfitters, £55

A shoe so fugly it could make Shrek’s feet look dainty. Also, possibly the most comfortable shoe ever invented.

Eytys Plimsolls, Dover Street Market, £42.50

The Stan Smith of summer 2015, cult Swedish brand Etsys is behind the sneaker you’re spotting on every fashion blogger out there. Get them while you can.

Fringed Flats, £24.99, New Look

Fringing is massive this summer, and here’s a way to nail the trend, while keeping it wearable. Tick tick.
