While it may not have settled, it snowed last week. And, it wasn’t just a few flakes here and there, it was a downpour. Even though shops are currently filling their rails with spring summer delights, our wardrobe is still firmly stuck in winter. So, consider investing in a new pair of boots that will get you across those puddles and through the worst of the weather still yet to come.
For a long time over-the-knee boots were NSFW, but not anymore. New gen knee-highs and thigh-grazing shoes look smart and only a little saucy. Unlike their Y2K iterations they are not to be worn with bodycon ever (unless you’re Kylie Jenner). Instead, consider ‘lampshading’ – the voguish trend for wearing an A-line dress that skims the top of the boot, so you resemble the silhouette of a, well, lampshade.
If you’d rather something less divisive, then the ankle boot is worth considering. The latest iterations are stepped up with print, glitter and metallic hues. Just see for yourself….
