Taking inspiration from the British subcultures of the seaside there were distinct sections, depending on what a trip to the beach means to you. Graphic 1970’s inspired sportswear (side note: who’d have thought that era would be having such a renaissance?) that you could see the modern day Sandra Dee wearing to hang out by the arcades were paired with Swarovski stone embellished silk dresses that wouldn’t look out of place at a faded dance hall in Brighton, where the main attraction is a glitter ball that’s been there rotating for years.

We’re not sure where the pleated skirts, off the shoulder tops and long-line silk bombers and leather-trimmed jackets fitted into the old school seaside theme but that doesn’t really matter. Because you’re going to want to wear them everywhere next Spring – not just save them for the sand.

And of course, whilst part of the fun of London Fashion Week is making a mental shopping list – as we’ve dutifully done for you above (tough work but someone’s got to do it) – Topshop know their audience want great fashion fast. It’s what’s made them the pioneers of the high street. So the clever old folk have already put six items on their website from the SS15 collection that you can buy right now – and have delivered within 24 hours. We’ve just bagged the silver-leaf-print t-shirt. #sorrynotsorry
