Last month we hosted an exclusive event in partnership with Pandora and special guest Alex Scott.

Grazia's Polly Vernon sat down for an intimate chat with former professional footballer, presenter, broadcaster and newly appointed Pandora Ambassador - Alex Scott for her perspective on International Women’s Day, as well as her inspiration, career and style.

Spirited and inspirational, Alex boasts a successful sporting history and has carved out a prestigious presenting career in a predominantly male landscape. Thanks to hard work, determination and a positive mindset Alex has not only battled obstacles, but broken barriers.

As a former Arsenal Captain and England Centurion, Alex is also England’s second most capped player across the men's and women's game. She retired from international football in 2017 after 140 appearances. Alex also founded the Alex Scott Academy in 2012, an academy system that not only supported women and girls in training, but also focused on working towards qualifications.

Today Alex is one of the BBC Sport and Sky Sports most recognisable presenters. And boy has she had to break boundaries to get there. Not only was Alex the first female pundit on Sky Sports’ Super Sunday, but she was the first female to commentate on a Men’s World Cup for the BBC. She’s also covered the Olympics as well as hosting Football Focus (BBC). Her new book How (Not) To Be Strong, is out now.

Last year Pandora announced Alex as an official brand ambassador in the UK. The pairing is a natural fit.
