New York Fashion Week this season seems to be hosting the hottest new drops in fashion and accessories. Last night, Brieitling hosted a star-studded fashion affair with the likes of Coco Rocha, Chanel Iman, Misty Copeland and Charlize Theron – the latter of whom is the face of the watchmaker's new Navitimer range.

At the event, Theron dazzled in a Givenchy pearl-encrusted gown from the house's autumn/winter 2023 collection, along with an oversized jacket – also Givenchy – and sandals by The Row.

Theron showcased her star power at the event where a short film, Navitimer - For The Journey, was launched on the big screen. It shares Theron's personal journey, outlining her love for dance to becoming the Hollywood superstar she is today. 'My journey has always been about being up for any challenge,' she says. 'I travelled from South Africa to Los Angeles when I was quite young, and both that physical journey and the journey of being open-minded and ready for new experiences has served me well personally and professionally.'

This intimate style of campaign is part of a similar series Breitling has created with its other brand ambassadors. 'I think it’s pretty hard to work in collaboration with a company that manufactures how we see time and not think about time, right?' Theron says. 'I have developed a nice awareness that time is the most precious thing that we have. No one’s ever been on their deathbed saying ‘God, I wish I had less time'.'

The new Navitimer watches are in two new sizes – 32mm and 36mm – and both feature 'better diamonds', which are lab-grown and traceable to accredited producers. 'Better gold', which is traceable to artisanal and small-scale mines that meet the Swiss Better Gold Association’s criteria for social and environmental impact, is used on the gold and two-tone models.
