One of fashion's greatests Tom Ford gave a talk at the Apple Store on Regent Street on Monday evening, and Team Grazia was there to see the man in action. The surprise news was that Tom Ford, 52, got hitched! The designer let slip that he recently married his long-term partner, Richard Buckley, 65. The couple have been in a relationship for over 25 years and have a son together, Alex. But it wasn't all wedding talk as he also spoke of the merits of interning, revealed whether he will make more movies and gushed about his love of, err, Percy Pigs. Read our 10 highlights from the Tom Ford interview with Kinvara Balfour below...

1. On recently marrying his partner Richard Buckley...

'I lost so many friends in college - I would say more than half of my closest friends. Richard, my partner of 27 years, had also gone through something also quite tough in his life. We are now married which is nice. I know that was just made legal in the UK which is great, we were married in the States.'

2. On why everyone should intern...

Tom interned at Chloe and said: 'I think this is the problem today, people come out of school and think they should immediately be a star. In this world of course you can make a sex video and you can become a star. But I think everyone should be an intern - you should sweep floors, you should pick up pins. You should run errands because you learn so much.'

3. How his son Alex is just like him...**

When asked if his son's toys are all over the nursery. 'He lays them out it's so genius. He's so organised. I don't know where it came from, it's so great. I wouldn't tell him off anyway. It's his life, his thing.'

4. On being naked...

So what does Tom wear when relaxing at home? 'I'm probably in the same suit I have picked off the floor. I used to spend most of my time on my own naked but now we have a child it means we have a nanny and so I can't come downstairs naked and have a bowl of cereal in the morning naked so I get dressed. Before I had a child I literally took off all my clothes the minute I walked in the door and that was that.'

5. Karl Lagerfeld's advice to a young Tom Ford...

'I was at a dinner with Karl Lagerfeld in the 80s and things had gone quite well rapidly for me at Gucci and everythng was on it's way up and I said 'Karl I don't feel anything, I'm not feeling any of this.' He said 'you will, you'll feel it later when you look back at it.' It's true, now I look back at that time and think 'god I didn't really feel it, I should have felt it more.' I'm very aware of that today and trying to feel everything that I do.'

6. On that Jay Z song and being 'very very very shy'...

'The song came out and it wasn't what I expected - I had to go online and see what it really meant. What really freaks me out is when he's at a giant stadium and performs it and there's 60,000 people screaming your name. If you're in the business of a brand it's one of the best things that could happen to you.' So how does it feel when people are screaming his name? 'I want to crawl under a rock because I'm actually very, very, very shy and no one every believes this. I really am very shy.'

7. On creating more films...

'I have a few I could do if I had the time to shoot them. Yes definitely, I'd be very sad if I don't make more films.'

8. On not carrying a phone...

'I am constantly on my computer; I sleep with it next to my bed. I don't normally carry a cell phone except there is an app where I can watch my son sleep at night so, if I'm out to dinner I can watch he's sleeping fine. That's the only reason I carry it around.'

9. His main piece of style advice...

'Never ever ever wear anything you are uncomfortable in. Because that is what you'll project: 'I look like a fool.' Even if you don't. You'll be tentative and not your best. I don't mean physical comfort, I don't mind suffering a little bit. My pants are little tight today because I've been eating too many Percy's Pigs.

10. His greatest luxury? Sleep and no emails...

It turns out Tom Ford is just like you as he said his definition of luxury is 'sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep. Just a great bed and sleeping. And you know what would be great? Not a single email. Nooo emails.'
