Can you believe we've reached the ripe (young) age of 10? Yes, a decade ago Grazia launched and almost overnight we became a publishing sensation, an agenda and trend-setting eyes, ears and mouthpiece for every upscale woman in the country. We've been the magazine everyone from prime ministers to fashion luminaries has wanted to speak to, and we hope you'll agree that we've delivered the finest and fastest edit of news, fashion and beauty, week in and week out.
And because as a brand we never stand still, we've decided to use our birthday to launch our Grazia 10 Manifesto, a list of things we – and our readers – want to see happen in the next decade. We stand up for women globally by exposing poverty and injustice; we’ve lobbied on domestic violence laws and rape conviction rates; and raised funds for charities such as Kids Company. Recently, we took our Mind The Pay Gap fight to Parliament and laid the groundwork for a victory for working women.
We’d love your input about what we should put our editorial weight behind next. For inspiration we asked the team at Grazia HQ what they'd like to see happen in the next 10 years. From cheaper childcare to three day weekends and even a Spice Girls reunion tour (yes, please!), we've listed a few below...
‘Equal pay for ALL women from the shop floor to the boardroom.’ *- Victoria Harper, assistant editor *
‘Pavements with a fast lane and a slow lane for pedestrians.’ - Anna Dewhurst, senior picture editor
‘Calorie-free chocolate.’ - Sarah Fitzmaurice, deputy news editor
‘A bank that stores all my shopping receipts electronically, so I no longer have a purse full of paper.’ - Jessica Vince, digital editor
‘For TV and film to be representative of ALL the people who make up the country – and the world.’ - Emily Phillips, senior commissioning editor
So what would YOU like to see happen? Tell us your thoughts by tweeting us at @Grazia_Liveusing #G10Manifesto.
