5 Bloggers, 15 Outfits, And 48 Hours At Milan Design Week

For Milan it doesn’t get any bigger, better or cooler than Salone del Mobile, the city’s annual design week. More see-and-be-seen than Milan Fashion Week, it attracts the cool crowd from everything fashion, art, food and architecture, who descend on the city for a week to celebrate all aspects of design.

Graziashop took five of the hottest international fashion bloggers - Jessie Bush (We the People Style), Sonia Grispo (Trend and the City), Marie Von Behrens (MVB), Erea Louro (All That She Wants) and Ella Catliff (La Petite Anglaise) - to check it out. From scooting around on bikes to exploring from one end of the city to the other in Mini Coopers – the girls had 48 hours to ‘cool hunt’ their way around in their favourite outfits (from Graziashop, obvs).

After checking into the achingly hip Maison Borella hotel, the ‘cool hunt’ kicked off with a visit to Mantra – the first raw vegan restaurant in Milan. It was courgetti-a-go-go which tasted just as good (if not better) than the fresh Italian pasta we all love. The girls then went on to discover the San Gregorio docet area, cool loft style apartments opened up to exhibit the best designs, followed by the Wallpaper magazine exhibition.

There was a little time left before Aperitivo, Milan style, to check out a special screening at Max Lamb’s ‘Excercises in Seating’ installation at the super cool Nowness pavilion in San Remo. After a night of great food and parties, all that was left to do the next day was get lost in the side streets of the 5VIE area (the only way how- on Cigno bikes) and head to Gnambox café - set up by foodie fashion couple Riccardo and Stefano, a place where food and culture come together.
