For those of you as beauty-obsessed as we are, the word 'Glossier' is so much than an adjective. But for the uninitiated, allow us to explain. Perennial cool girl and beauty obsessive Emily Weiss quit her magazine job in 2010 to launch Into The Gloss, a site that did for beauty what MTV Cribs did for celebrity interiors.

Taking us inside the bathroom cabinets of models, actresses and influencers, the site became a veritable hub of beauty know-how, with expert tutorials and in-depth product reviews.

Eight months ago, Emily & co (she now employs 28 people) took the plunge and launched Glossier, a capsule collection of skincare and makeup products, all of which give that oh-so-coveted 'barely-there' look. Think a super-lightweight base, an all-purpose skincare balm and a multi-tasking moisturiser - each one designed to streamline your beautifying routine.

But, it's been U.S only - until now. Net-A-Porter are (finally!) stocking Glossier and shipping internationally. We caught up with Emily about her favourite British beauties and what makes a cult product...

Grazia Daily: What are your favourite British beauty brands?

Emily Weiss: "I think Butter London’s Nail Foundation (£15.00) is awesome--it looks like you just buffed. And I’m a sucker for Eve Lom’s whole wash-cloth-and-balm-cleanser routine (£55.00)."

GD: Where do you head when you are in London for beauty treatments?

EW: "Honestly, I haven’t been to London in forever! I’m going in December for a wedding and am excited to ask around for the best beauty treatments and secret spots. Any ideas, email me."

GD: What was the first beauty product that caught your imagination?

EW: "I was into all of the cult beauty products as a teenager. I loved Hard Candy’s lip gloss rings, the solid perfumes from Tocca, and really anything Limited Too was selling in their beauty section, I was buying. I have a lot of nostalgia for these brands that I felt really spoke to me as a teen, and that sort of cult obsession is something that I’ve really tried to emulate with Glossier."

GD: Are there any products you pick up on your travels and wish you could get in the US?

EW: "Yes, many, although these days you can pretty much get anything, anywhere. Even Glossier, now! I bought an extra suitcase coming back from Seoul, Korea. It’s like beauty Disneyland there."

GD: What is your favourite scent?

EW: "Le Labo Gaiac 10."

GD: And you favourite smell?

EW: "Gasoline!"

GD: What music do you listen to when you’re getting ready to go out?

EW: "Right now, J. Cole."

GD: What are the five favourite things in your makeup bag right now?

EW: "I don’t carry around (or wear, really) a lot of makeup. But I always have Glossier’s Balm Dotcom (£30.00) in my bag, along with the Perfecting Skin Tint. I also constantly have lab samples of new products that we’re developing that I test and ask unsuspecting women around me to try out as well. Sometimes I carry around Le Labo’s Santal 33 Solid Perfume (£55.00), which is great for touch-ups throughout the day.

GD: And last but not least three of your British style/beauty crushes?

EW: "Alexa Chung, Jane Birkin, Sarah Harris."
