Obviously we’re big fans of Pinterest at Grazia Daily. We love nothing more than an afternoon perusing thousands of images for inspiration and creating our very own digital pin board. The pinners on our radar this week are passionate about up-cycling and embellishing existing garments to give old outfits new life. Taking inspiration from the 60s’ to an old set of Pyjamas this lot are definitely ones to watch. We caught up with them to get their top tips…

**Tips: *
-
When shortening a dress or a skirt you could customise/neaten the hem with embroidered trim or ribbon.
-
This sort of thing could also be added to the collar of a denim jacket to jazz it up a bit and would be very simple to do.
Ami Lowden – The Little Tailoress

Tip:
-
**Consider the simple addition of lace to any piece of clothing. Lace trim is readily available in all good fabric shops and can really transform a tired or dull garment and give it some interest and a new lease of life.

Tips:
-
Wear your Pyjamas to the beach. A cheesecloth nightie, silky bed shorts or a classic poplin PJ shirt look amazing over a bikini with a tan. A silk dressing gown for lunch round the pool looks amazing too.
-
Cut off your jeans just above the knee for denim bermudas that feel really current, and are just that bit cooler than short-shorts. Summer is when scarves and bandanas really come into their own. Wrap one round a one-piece to create a makeshift skirt, knot one round your head or tie in a figure of eight for a different take on the bikini top.

** Tips:**
-
If you have a seen-better-days white shirt or T-shirt, try the art of Shibori. It’s a little like tie dye but using indigo, so if you’re a denim obsessive it’s perfect.
-
If you’re tired of your skinny jeans then chop them just above the ankle bone for a pair of skinny crops. Turn them inside out first and draw a straight line with tailors chalk and then use a really sharp pair of scissors.
