The Vanity Fair Oscar's After party is the after party to end all after parties. It's also an opportunity for the perfectly coiffed celebs to let their hair down (sometimes literally) after the ceremony has wrapped, leading to some truly directional fashion.
Hunter Schafer is always one to watch on the step and repeat for her boundary-pushing looks - remember the single white feather at 2023's party? - and this year was no exception with a champagne-coloured silk gown and shaggy coat by 16Arlington (one word: louche).
Selena Gomez continued her sartorial theme from awards season, a modern take on Old Hollywood, with a black sequinned column gown from Armani Privé. Anna Sawai, meanwhile, opted for a similarly pared-back silhouette from Vivienne Westwood, with the addition of a plunging neckline.
Hot off the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week, Tracee Ellis Ross provided one of the carpet's most dramatic moments in fringed Alexandre Vauthier. Similarly theatrical was Sarah Paulson, whose inflatable bubble dress looked as though it might take off - a thrillingly fun number by Marc Jacobs.
Elsewhere, LBDs with added fashion appeal took pride of place on the red carpet. Olivia Rodrigo's Roberto Cavalli look, a leather halter-neck with a fishtail skirt, was a favourite, as was the rather cheeky display by Zoë Kravitz, whose 'very demure, very mindful' gown at the front revealed more than a slice of bottom at the back.
