There’s no denying Formula 1 (and all the glamour surrounding it) has become a strong topic of conversation in recent years. Thanks to Drive To Survive, Netflix’s notably binge-worthy series that transformed the niche sport into a global phenomenon, as well as the fact that it attracts A-list stars like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and ASAP Rocky (to name a few), the hype is bigger than ever.
The drivers have become bigger stars than ever before, with many exhibiting a love of fashion we wouldn't necessarily equate with the motor sport. With the likes of Lando Norris, Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly dressing in the world's leading designers and showing off their flair for putting outfits together, it's no wonder race weekends have turned into a three-day fashion affair. It's also, then, not totally surprising that Formula 1 has partnered with a fashion brand to launch a new collection.
Arriving just in time for the upcoming 2024 season, Reiss and Formula 1 Team McLaren's surprise collection includes everything from varsity jackets to cool co-ords and even a range of elevated leather pieces, too.
Inspired by the elite performance at the heart of McLaren and by the thrill of Formula 1, the collection includes menswear, womenswear and childrenswear, and will be available globally online and in selected retail locations.
'We are very proud to launch our first collection alongside Reiss, uniting two iconic and global brands,' says Louise McEwen, McLaren racing executive director of brand and marketing.
'Over the last season, Reiss has supported our team with performance and comfort-focused travel wear, and we are delighted to be able to share a fabulous range with our audiences that is synonymous with both our brands.'
