We always had a soft spot for Sylvie, the real style star of Emily in Paris, but the fashion world is finally catching up. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu - who fans might also recognise from Call My Agent! - has arrived at Paris Couture Week. Her first stop was Schiaparelli, where she sat front row wearing a fabulous shearling coat with its very own sculpted corset. Chef's kiss. Then at last night's Alexandre Vauthier, she appeared wearing a sharp-shouldered, wide-legged outfit that was seriously Sylvie.
Her onscreen wardrobe was a typically cool mix of high end, high street (yes really, she once wore Zara!) and vintage. Next to Emily, who always erred towards the exuberant end of the spectrum, she was often called a minimalist. But I beg to differ. This was a woman who wore a bandage-esque knit dress from Victor Weinsanto, tiger-print corsetry from Vivienne Westwood, and jewel-bright tailoring by Elie Saab.
