No matter if you love or loathe musicals, are a huge Ariana Grande fan (Arianator, if you’re in the know) or are simply impartial to the pop princess, there’s no way that the new Wicked film isn’t on your radar. Cynthia Erivo, aka Elphaba, and Ariana Grande, aka Glinda, haven’t exclusively worn green and pink outfits for no reason, after all. Although it’s Eviro’s LA premier look that is causing the most commotion, and for good reason.
Stepping out on Saturday 9th November in Los Angeles, the British star proved her dedication to method dressing is showing no sign of faltering. Continuing the Elphaba effect, she opted for a vibrant vinyl green Louis Vuitton dress and feathered stole that really did defy gravity (sorry). And stylist Jason Bolden has been on hand to create Erivo’s new all-green wardrobe.
She accessorised the look with a $750,000 (£582,000) Roberto Coin 18-karat white gold, diamond and emerald necklace paired with matching earrings and a ring, making for one incredibly luxurious witch. However, we'd expect no less from the star of the highly anticipated Wicked movie, which launches in the UK on Friday 22nd November.
Other Cynthia Eviro Wicked outfit highlights include the green satin Louis Vuitton gown she wore to the Olympics alongside Grande's pretty pink number and another custom green frock for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures 4th Annual Gala. There, she gave a special performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, nodding to the late Quincy Jones.
Plus, searches for Cynthia Erivo's other films are rising up the ranks, particularly Bad Times at the El Royale, which is available on Disney Plus, Apple TV and Amazon. So, if you can't wait for Wicked to come out, be sure to add it to your watch list while we await more killer red carpet looks.
