It’s not every day that Victoria Beckham wears something we can afford, but then it’s not every day we see her wearing trainers. Last week Victoria posted an Instagram snap of her getting her hair styled while wearing a comfy combination of t shirt, baggy trousers and gleaming white Reebok Club C 85 Iridescent trainers (currently on sale for just £45.49 at Sole Trader).
It turns out that a collaboration between the designer and the sports brand is on the cards - Beckham recently released a statement reading: ‘I am incredibly excited to embark on this partnership built on shared values. I have always championed instilling confidence in women and Reebok is a brand that has been at the forefront of this same message for decades. To have the opportunity to challenge the traditional notions of fitness wear within a fashion context is something I have always wanted to do. I have long incorporated sportswear into my wardrobe and daily life and I am thrilled to be coming together with Reebok on such a dynamic proposition’.
Victoria surprised readers of The Telegraph when she admitted last year: ‘I just can't do heels any more. At least not when I'm working. I travel a lot’. She has been spotted more and more often out and about in flat shoes, and has even gone as far as experimenting with a pair of zany light-up sneakers.
She also closed her AW16 show in a pair of Adidas trainers, a significant departure from the skyscraper heels of previous years. We can’t wait to see what her Reebok collaboration (due out late 2018) will bring – long may the flat shoe reign.
