Charli XCX, Pop Provocateur, Is The New Face Of Agent Provocateur

The popstar tells Grazia about the ‘iconic’ Kylie Minogue inspired shoot.

Charli XCX is a pop provocateur - so it makes sense that she’s the face ofAgent Provocateur{ =nofollow}’s latest campaign. The famous lingerie brand have put a major twist on their festive lookbook, as the singer is riding a mechanical bull in her underwear - complete with a matching cowboy hat - in a ‘homage to country-western and the Deep South with a Rhinestone Rodeo’.

The references for the shoot? None other than pop queen Kylie Minogue, who starred in an advert for the brand in 2001, which Charli tells Grazia was an ‘iconic’ reference. ‘I've always really loved AP,’ she tells Grazia. ‘When we started talking about the idea of the campaign, they were very much open to how I felt and making sure that I felt comfortable and making sure that I was in control.’

Speaking about the day of the shoot, the musician told us one of the great things about the shoot day is that there was so many women on set. ‘It was really fun and so positive and exciting,’ she said. ‘It was really cool that there was so many women on the shoot. Obviously Sarah [Shotton, creative director] designs the underwear so beautifully to really like fit and compliment all different types of bodies and that's really so cool. I feel like the whole day just felt iconic.'
