If you want to know whether or not someone is married, the quickest thing to do is to sneak a glance at their left hand, and look for a wedding ring. But, in the case of some celebrities, their naked ring finger doesn't mean that they're single.
There are plenty of celebrities who don't wear wedding rings. Some, like David Cameron and Prince Philip, are traditionalists who don't wear them because it's not considered to be part of old-school etiquette.
Others eschew the ring because they spend their live in costumes on set, so have to take it off all of the time. And some couples, like Jay-Z and Beyoncé, just don't wear them. Maybe they realise that everyone in the developed world knows that their married so they have no need for rings?

Prince William doesn't wear a wedding ring, apparently, according to the palace, because of 'personal preference. His brother Harry does however wear one.

Neither Will nor Jada wear wedding rings, but they've been married since 1997, so it doesn't seem to be causing them any major problems.

David and Sam Cam have been married since 1996, but he doesn't wear a wedding ring. When he was PM people made quite a lot out of the fact that he wore neither a ring nor a watch.
