The election results are in and the world is coming to terms with the fact that the Tories won with a landslide victory. Whatever your thoughts, however you voted, the only certainty in these tricky times seems to be Carrie Symonds' reliance on the Great British high street. That's right – in breaking political news, we can officially bring word that Symonds wore an M&S coat to enter Downing Street this morning.
But wait: there's more. Her skirt is courtesy of Anthropologie. Both items are less than £100, too, meaning that the wardrobe of our own 'First Lady' will still be accessible even after another round of cuts. Is that not a comforting thought?
'The boots!' I hear you cry. 'What about the boots?!' Prepare yourselves. They, too, are from M&S. They are an even more Age of Austerity-friendly £45, and are still in stock. As is the coat, for that matter, which will set you back £69. I wonder what that could buy the NHS?
So, there you have it. One high street wardrobe and the promise of a new government – and all in the same day! Are you overwhelmed? I feel overwhelmed. I may need to lie down.
