The French First Lady completely upstaged her Argentinian counterpart Juliana Awada when she arrived for the Summit Spouse Programme wearing a salmon pink minidress. The A-line design, which featured a modest high neck and sleeves to balance out the risqué length, accentuated Brigitte’s toned legs – something American Vogue has even dedicated an article to. Teamed with complementary nude accessories (hello, Brigitte’s favourite Louis Vuitton Capucines bag in a new colour), oversized shades and a chic half-up, half-down ‘do, she had quite literally thrown the rule book off the boat that brought her there.
Monochrome Dressing Can Make You Look Taller
While it’s currently on trend to wear your trousers wide-legged, flared or cropped, Brigitte sticks to what she knows suits her best - skinny cuts that make the most of her coltish limbs. To ensure she doesn’t look smaller than necessary due to her petite frame she’s teamed hers with towering heels in the same colour plus a chic monochrome top – the use of black all over gives the illusion of length and height. The silver accents - see her arm cuff, the detail on her top and the zips on her trousers - add necessary interest to an otherwise simple look.

Every woman should have a camel coat in her arsenal.
